Homemade Natural Dandruff Shampoo

We have one family member with eczema on the scalp and one family member with dandruff.  THIS shampoo works well for BOTH.

Combine all ingredients and put in the dispenser of your choice.  I use a pump because it is easier to use in the shower for the boys.  It only takes a small amount, just enough to cover and wash the scalp with.

  1. I’ve been using this recipe for my psoriasis and it leaves a film on my hair. My hair is also really dull looking now. I put it in and lather it up and let it sit for a few minutes and then rinse it out. When I’m rinsing it, I can feel a film on my hair already and I can’t get it out. It also leaves my hair very knotty. Do you know what is causing this? Thank you.

    • Oh, I am sorry to hear that. I am not sure why it would be leaving a film on your hair. As for it being knotty, perhaps a conditioner might help? I do know that it took a while for our hair to adjust when switching to all natural because the entire chemical make up is different so our scalp’s production of oils etc has to change and it takes awhile for everything to compensate, for lack of a better word.

  2. Is this for everyday use? Does it need to be refrigerated with the coconut in it?

  3. I don’t have rosemary EO. Is there something I can use instead? Thanks!
